Become a Volunteer!

Please help us to help the animals by joining our Volunteer Program!

We are always seeking members who are interested in working hard, making friends, and having fun!  The only requirement to join is a passion for pets and the belief that every animal deserves a happy home where they are loved and cherished as part of the family.

There are a lot of pets in need out there and it takes all of us to make a difference, so please join us!

Volunteering

We are always looking for adult and junior volunteers to help with the following:

• Caring for and exercising the adoptable cats.
• Walking, bathing, and playing with the adoptable dogs.
• Bringing adoptable pets to weekend adoption events.
• Partner with our adoptable dogs during training classes.
• Volunteer at our resale shop.
• Transport items to our resale shop.
• Fostering dogs and cats with special needs.
• Organizing or assisting with events.
• Providing help with special skills such as electrical work, handy man odds and ends, etc.
• Administrative help in the Medical Center or Alumni Club Services.

Monetary Donations

Just like every not-for-profit charitable organization, funding is desperately needed to continue our activities.

We would love to help more pets in need by treating them at our Medical Center or placing them into our adoption program to find the homeless furry kids their forever homes, but with limited funds we can only do so much.

We struggle every day to keep the doors open and to keep our medical service prices down.  If you are able to help, we would be so very grateful, as would the pets that we serve!

Below are items that we are in desperate need of:

• Pet Food - Dry Cat Food (Purina dry is preferred but we will take anything!), Canned Cat Food, Dry Dog Food (Purina One is preferred but we will take anything!), Grain-Free Dry Dog Food
• Cat Litter
• Paper Goods - Paper Towels; Zipper Sandwich Baggies; 13, 33 and 55 Gallon Trash Bags; Kleenex
• Poop Bags! Please save your plastic grocery bags.
• Beach and Bath Towels
• Laundry Detergent
• AA Batteries
• Cleaning Supplies - Bleach, Pine Sol, Dish Soap, Liquid Hand Soap, Hand Sanitizer.
• Office Supplies - in particular are Black Sharpies, Masking Tape, Scotch Tape, Pink and Blue Highlighters, Index Cards, & Spiral Notebooks.

Donate a Bed!

Please, will you donate a bed to one of our adoptable pets?

These Kuranda beds are easy to clean, they're great for dogs with orthopedic problems, and will keep the dogs off the ground and on a dry, warm blanket on top of the bed.
