National Volunteer Week 2010
During this week designated to celebrate those who tirelessly devote their time and energy to helping others,
we wish to send a very special note of thanks to all of our volunteers!
We appreciate the dedication and hard work of all of our volunteers. We'd also like to give a special shout out
for the special efforts of the following volunteers:
The K9 Tailshakers Team for being a Godsend to us and our rescue program and for the fundraising efforts
of Rescue Me! and Bark In The Park.
Fran Moseley and family for all of the blood, sweat and tears poured into getting the Momence resale shop
up and running.
Helen Fortino for her hard work, dedication and tireless efforts in preparing the Homewood resale shop to
open for business.
Clinic employee Ashley Gregory for her volunteer work at a recent adoption event.
Clinic employee Kert Huck for his volunteer work to help collect resale shop items.
Kelli Svancarek from Silver Castle Studio for her tireless efforts in coordinating and hosting the Puppie and
Kitten Love fundraising event.
Barbara McGivny for her help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9 Tailshakers, coordinating the
Cardinal Fitness Pet Food Drive and taking care of the 2 litters of newborn kittens.
Darlene Kokotan for her help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9 Tailshakers and for all of her help
at events.
Heather and Darrell Willis for their help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9 Tailshakers, for their
help at events and for taking the lead in coordinating vendors and sponsorships for Rescue Me! 2010.
Ann McGuire and Girl Scout Troop #684 for their help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9
Tailshakers and for hosting the movie night and donation drive.
Lisa Knights for her help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9 Tailshakers and for taking pictures of
our rescue pets for the website and newspaper.
Gina Foote and Lisa Lawless for their help in maintaining the adoptable cat room at K9 Tailshakers.
Lori Vollmer for her help in taking in the litter of newborn, abandoned kittens.
Lynn Waller for all of her help at adoption events!
