The NAWS Pet Adoption Program

NAWS rescues pets from being euthanized in high-kill shelters or animal control facilities and places them into foster homes while they wait to find their
forever homes.  NAWS' ultimate goal is to build a local animal sanctuary on several acres in the country where both adoptable and unadoptable (for a
variety of reasons) pets will reside surrounded by love, companionship and comfort for the remainder of their lives.  Until that dream comes to fruition, our
adoptable pets will reside in local foster homes where they will enjoy life with a family until they find their own forever families.

While our pets are in foster care they are evaluated for temperament, they are spayed/neutered and receive their vaccines and other veterinary care, and
their time spent with the foster family allows us to determine what type of home would be best suited for each pet - such as homes with or without small
children, other pets, etc.

If you would like to meet any of our adoptable pets, the process is to fill out an application, which you can find below, and either scan/fax it back to us, or
you can e-mail us for an application in a Word Document which will allow you to fill it out and e-mail it back to us in an attachment.  We will then put you
in touch with the pet's foster family to make arrangements for a visit.

We also bring our adoptable pets to the local PetSmart stores on some evenings and weekends.  We will update our calendar with those dates as they
become available.
