Volunteer Council The Volunteer Council is the pet care and fundraising arm of the National Animal Welfare Society of the U.S. The Council Members are our adoptable pets' angels because whether directly or indirectly, they all help to care for animals in need. Whatever your interest, whatever your idea, the Volunteer Council would like to hear your input. The Council welcomes those interested in caring for our adoptable dogs and cats, planning or helping with events and fundraisers, fostering homeless pets, working with kids or humane education programs, or just helping wherever and whenever you can.
